About

Nick Kamau, Esq. is a skilled personal injury and civil rights trial lawyer with 15 years of experience.  He has received outstanding results for his clients in jurisdictions across the United States including Pennsylvania, New Jersey, the District of Columbia, Colorado and California.  He is known for the stellar results he receives along with the care and attention given to each of his client.


Mr. Kamau is dedicated to fighting for victims and uses the law to restore justice and level the playing field.  


After graduating from Howard University School of Law in 2004 as the Deans Fellow, Mr. Kamau began his legal career as an Assistant Public Defender at the Defenders Association of Philadelphia where he achieved hundreds of victories for his clients. 


His star continued to rise when he worked at a top personal injury defense  firm where he handled police brutality, wrongful termination, and catastrophic injury cases.


His fight for righteousness and justice extended  to national policy where he served as Democratic Counsel for the Congressional Oversight and Government Reform Committee representing the Obama Administration in the defense of Obamacare, Clean and Renewable Energy Programs and Voting Rights.   


Mr. Kamau is a respected member of the legal community and was elected by his peers to serve on the Philadelphia Bar Association, Board of Governors, and is poised to serve as the Board Chair.


Mr. Kamau is a proud father who lives with his wife and two young children in West Philadelphia.


Committed to the improving minority and disadvantaged communities, Mr. Kamau is a Trustee and Chair of the Legal Ministry at Mother Bethel AME Church.  He also serves on  the Christian Street YMCA, Board of Directors, and sits on a number of committees at his children's school.  He is an active member of the Barristers' Association of Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, the NAACP and POWER.
